Here at Legacy K-9, we are a small, focused, training and breeding kennel located in Tallahassee, Florida.
We are fiercely dedicated to preserving the Belgian Malinois as the ultimate multi-purpose working dog, but frequently have dogs of other breeds, including German Shepherds, Dutch Shepherds, Labs and others available as well. We typically have adults at various levels and occasionally offer puppies out of our breedings.
Although pedigrees are an essential consideration when evalutaing a dog's breeding potential, we believe in focusing on each dog as an individual. We believe that working ability and charachter are far more important than pedigrees.
We strive for dogs that will protect and perform under the most intense of opposition but with the firm belief that toughness and aggression are useless and dangerous without the ability to control and trust the dog under neutral circumstances.
Although we believe that bitework is the ultimate test of a dog's integrity and working potential, our goal is to offer and produce working dogs that are capable of working in a variety of venues.
We have dogs excelling locally and internationally in: Police Patrol & apprehension, Narcotics or Explosives Detection, Personal & Executive Protection, Schutzhund, PSA & other protection sports, agility, herding, prison cell extraction, hunting, therapy, dogsledding, physical assistance, competative obedience and others.
